Tarpon Springs Shop with a Cop

Bringing Joy, Connection & Community to Local Families

Every holiday season, the Tarpon Springs Police Department (TSPD) helps spread Christmas joy through its annual Shop with a Cop program — a cherished community tradition that brings smiles, hope, and connection to local children and families.

Through partnerships with Tarpon Springs schools, counselors and administrators carefully select students from families who could use a little extra help during the holidays. Each child is paired with a TSPD officer who volunteers their time to serve as a personal “shopping buddy” — spending the afternoon picking out gifts, toys, and clothing to make the season brighter.

Each child receives $150 to spend, creating unforgettable memories and meaningful bonds between officers and the children they serve. After the shopping trip, families receive a grocery gift card to help provide a warm Christmas dinner — thanks to the generosity of our community donors.

This event is about more than presents — it’s about presence. 💫
It gives children the chance to connect with local law enforcement in a positive, personal way, building trust and friendship. Watching their faces light up as they laugh, shop, and share stories with their officers reminds us what community truly means.

In a time when the spotlight on law enforcement can be challenging, Shop with a Cop offers something real and heartwarming: a bridge of understanding, gratitude, and shared joy. The smiles we see are truly priceless.

Our 2025 Goal:
Reach 100 families and bring holiday magic to 200 children across Tarpon Springs.

Join us in making spirits bright this season — your donation or sponsorship helps create unforgettable memories and strengthens the heart of our community.
